AI Voice Agents
AI Voice Agents That Make and Take Real Business Calls
Voice is where most businesses still lose time: chasing missing information, confirming bookings, answering the same enquiry, calling back. A voice agent handles the predictable part of that — and warm-transfers a person the moment the call needs one.
What is an AI voice agent?
An AI voice agent is a system that holds a spoken conversation on a real phone line: it understands what the caller says, looks up the relevant record in your systems, responds naturally, takes the agreed action, and either completes the call or transfers it to a person with context. It differs from an IVR phone menu in that the caller speaks normally instead of pressing numbers, and it differs from a recorded message in that it can actually resolve the reason for the call.
Capabilities
What the system actually does
Not a feature list for its own sake — each of these exists because it removes a specific piece of repeated work.
Inbound calls
Answers on the first ring, at any hour, without a queue.
Outbound calls
Initiates calls for confirmations, chasing and follow-ups, on a schedule or triggered by an event.
Customer verification
Confirms identity against your records before anything sensitive is discussed or changed.
Missing-information collection
Calls to collect the one field that is blocking an order, booking or claim.
Booking and rescheduling
Checks availability, books, moves and cancels against your real calendar or booking system.
Customer notifications
Delay, change and readiness calls where a message would be missed.
Order enquiries
Status, delivery and collection questions answered from live order data.
Lead qualification
Asks the qualifying questions, records the answers, books the meeting or routes to sales.
Multilingual conversations
Switches language to the caller, including regional variants.
Warm transfer
Hands to a named person or queue, with a spoken summary and the record already on screen.
Callback scheduling
Offers a time instead of holding the caller, and honours it.
Call summaries + CRM updates
Every call produces a structured summary, an outcome and a system update.
How it works
An outbound resolution call, step by step
This is the pattern behind most high-value voice automation: something is blocked, one fact is missing, and a call is the fastest way to unblock it.
Guardrails
AI when it can. Humans when it should.
A voice agent that will not let a caller reach a person is a reputational liability. Ours are built the other way round.
- The caller can ask for a human at any point and the agent transfers — it never argues, deflects or loops.
- Warm transfer, not blind transfer: the receiving agent hears a summary and sees the record before speaking.
- The agent identifies itself as an automated assistant. We do not build systems that pretend to be a named person.
- Complaints, distress, disputes and anything legally sensitive escalate automatically.
- Calling hours, retry limits, do-not-call handling and consent rules are enforced in the system, not left to the prompt.
- If a transfer target is unavailable, the agent takes a callback commitment and the system honours it.
Reference architecture
How it fits your existing systems
We do not replace what you run on. The automation layer sits alongside it and is bound by what each system permits.
Telephony
Numbers, routing, recording and transfer to your existing lines.
Speech
Low-latency speech in and out, tuned for interruption and accent.
Conversation control
What the agent is allowed to say, ask, and do on this call.
Business systems
The call is only useful if it changes something in a real system.
Evidence
Every call reconstructable after the fact.
Reference architecture, not a screenshot of a specific client deployment. Actual components depend on the systems you already run.
Before / after
What changes operationally
- Staff calling customers one by one to chase a single missing field
- Calls missed outside office hours and never returned
- Repeat callers because nobody logged the last conversation
- Booking changes handled by voicemail tag
- No record of what was actually said
- The system places the call the moment the block appears
- Every inbound call answered, or a callback committed and kept
- Structured outcome and summary on the record after every call
- Availability checked and the change made during the call
- Transcript and recording attached to the case
Operational changes, not performance claims. Any numbers we publish come from a measured deployment and are named as such.
Where it applies
Common starting points
The best first deployment is narrow, high-volume and measurable. These are the ones that usually qualify.
Score your own workflowsCollecting one missing detail
Passport number, flight number, delivery instruction, PO reference — the single field blocking fulfilment.
Booking confirmation and reminders
Confirm, reschedule or cancel during the call rather than sending a message nobody answers.
Order and collection enquiries
Especially where a deadline exists and a missed call means a lost order.
Failed payment recovery
A short, polite call with a secure way to complete payment, instead of a fifth email.
Lead qualification and callback
Respond to a web enquiry within minutes instead of the next working day.
After-hours front desk
Answer, triage, book, and escalate genuine urgency to the on-call person.
